The role of finance is also observed to be rapidly changing with these economic changes. This conference is an attempt to provide the platform to discuss and share the issues, ideas & policies that would provide the possible solutions and discourse.

OBJECTIVE

The primary objective of the conference is to create a diaspora of thinkers in finance and economic affairs. And, also to provide an opportunity to the budding researchers to present and publish their work.

CALL FOR PAPERS

The National Conference on Finance and Applied Economics will be held on 7-8 October, 2017 at Marathwada Mitra Mandal's Institute of Management Education Research & Training, Pune. The theme of the conference is theoretical and empirical analysis on the areas of finance and applied economics. The conference would deliberate on following broad themes, containing both conceptual & empirical work about recent and emerging developments. The areas mentioned below are only suggestive in nature, however the participants are welcome to send their research work across the topics.

THEMES

Financial Institutions & Regulation
Much has been discussed about the increasing role of financial institutions and regulators in economic development and governance across the world. A parallel discussion regarding its autonomy or the encroachment is also being part of the academic discussions off late. The conference intends to contemplate on this important aspect of financial peregrination.
Financial Reporting Analysis
With the volatility across the markets and a sort of policy dilemma on global scenario the investment decisions are becoming more and more complex. Hence is the role of sound financial analysis and reporting. The work emphasizing on this aspect of business is welcome for the conference.
Financial Risk Management
The concepts of financial risk management have changed dramatically in the international realm. Multinational Corporations are faced with many different obstacles in overcoming these challenges. The research papers on the topics such as operational risk, credit risk, market risk, foreign exchange risk, shape risk, volatility risj and inflation risk etc are highly encouraged to take part in the conference.
International Business/Finance
The re-emerge of nation state has posed or is anticipated to pose severe challenges for the international trade and tariff policies. A great concern over the same has been expressed by numerous economists. The conference would like to discuss issues related to the same in breadth and depth.
Capital/Derivatives/Securities Market
For many transforming economies the shift from the conventional investment instruments to the secondary market investment instruments has taken a rapid acceleration. The empirical as well as the qualitative work on this facet of financial epitome are encouraged to take part in the conference.
Corporate Finance
Right from quantifying uncertainty to mergers and acquisitions a lot can be observed to be happening on the front of corporate finance. Also the issues related to domestic credit supply are largely seems to have taken toll on the overall business performance.
Development Economics
The low income countries has been subject to fear of international capital encroachments. Whereas a number of countries have performed marginally well on this scale in recent times, a lot of them still seems to be lagging behind. Studies focusing on these and other aspects are highly anticipated to take part.
Behavioural Finance/Economics
Since being a relatively new field of study of behavioural and cognitive psychological theory with conventional economics and finance, the proposed conference aims to provide a plausible platform to research work in & of the related areas.
Monetary Economics
The recent developments in the macroeconomic spheres of India have provided a broad spectrum for the researchers to explore the gamut of monetary economics for various new dimensions of it. The proposed conference anticipates conceptual and scholarly work on topics related to the same.
Public Economics
The public policy is taking up new shapes and so are the pressure groups. The use of economic principles in substantiating the political agenda is increasingly becoming a vital part of academic dialogue. The conference would like to contemplate on topics related to these aspects.
Industrial Economics
While the secondary sector holds its significance for contributing to the world economy and the workforce it employs, there also seems to be newer issues & challenges either being emerging or still being un-resolved to affect a larger demography across the globe. The conference invites conceptual works as well as case studies which can shed light on the allied topics.
Environmental Economics/Climate Change & Financial Order
In a situation when there seems to be no easy way out to resolve the challenges posed by the climate change and severe threats of increasing environmental depletion; the importance of it in economic and financial perspective is also something that needs to be seriously dwelled upon.
Gender Economics
Over the last few years, the question of gender inequality in the economy has attained a prominent place in public and policy debates. The focus has been on women?s participation in the labour force and within senior positions in organisations. While some progress has been made, women still remain to be underpaid, under-appreciated, under-utilized, and over-exploited. It directs the attention to the large socioeconomic costs of gender inequality.
Role of ICT in Finance
The use if ICT in financial inclusion, banking and also in private sectors is significant one. We have examples of African countries who were lagging behind earlier but now has received considerable financial shift because of ICT. The conference aims to discuss such cases and research papers which would elaborate on further collaboration of ICT & Finance.
